Five checks before you submit your app to the stores

Avoid common review delays with this short pre-submission checklist.

1. Test on real devices

Emulators miss problems with performance, notifications and gestures. Test on a range of real phones and operating system versions.

2. Prepare privacy and permission text

Both stores expect a clear privacy policy and honest explanations for permissions such as location or camera. Ask only for what the app needs.

3. Complete the listing

Write a clear description, prepare screenshots for each required device size and choose the right category. A polished listing improves both approval and downloads.

4. Make sure every feature works without a reviewer account

Reviewers need a way to try the app. Provide demo login details and make sure no feature relies on something only you can access.

5. Plan for the first update

Bugs found after launch are normal. Keep a crash reporting tool in place and a release process ready so fixes reach users quickly.
